I received my first pink slip today.
I should receive more info on May 1st, informing me if I will be officially layed off or if my school will actually need me. I knew this was coming, however, it still sucks.
I am keeping positive and reminding myself that I can't do anything to change my seniority within the district. It's still pretty lame though.
On a positive note, we had a two hour delay because of fog this morning. I loved the extra bit of sleep, although I was already dressed and ready to go when I received the notification from the school.
So yea, its just a part of the teaching job. I will be fine. May 1st will be a more informative day.
