Badger in the family

Well, first of all, Daniel got into Madison! yes! this is great news. He deserves this for all of his hard work. I am so happy for him!

Friday was just a regular day. Lots of tests for my students. It was the end of the quarter so I tried to make grades a really big deal. In my alternative class I had a student get a B and one student get a C on the test. This is a big deal for them and a big deal of success! I was so proud. I called their families and couldn't wait to share the good news. These types of parent contacts are a lot easier for me to make rather than the "hi your kid was bad" conversations.

I received some bad news about a family friend. Our friend's son, Andy was in Germany for a school trip and had a seizure. they did an MRI and found out that he has a brain tumor. It's benign but still scary. He's coming home early. Dan is going with the family to pick him up and take him straight to the hospital. Keep him in your prayers.

Today, I've been a bit lazy. I had vb practice for my club team this morning and then I came home and having been working on school work and relaxing. The high light to my day was that Daniel was accepted into Madison. This is such great news!! I don't have any plans for the day accept for school work. One week till Spring break! I get to go to Easter this year, it will be my first Easter with family since my Junior year of high school. :)
