I've been lesson planning and getting ready for the school year all week. I can't wait for my job but really need to get to work on preparing. I've got our last volleyball tournament starting this Friday, this national tournament is our last chance to really excel. I can't wait to see the girls perform and hope the outcome is great!
Then, Nick and I will be coming home for a few days on the 2nd of July! But not for very long, I start coaching BSU vb camps on the 6th. However, this will be a fun time to get together with family and friends. AND celebrate my Uncle Jerry's engagement! I am so excited to be getting another Aunt and to know that my uncle has found someone special! Maybe I'll have a few extra cousins in a few years too. :)
Finally, please start praying for my friend Serena. She has a very rare and serious brain tumor that is close to her spinal cord. She has had several surgeries to remove portions of it, but I think it is too close to the spinal cord to remove the whole thing. She has surgery on July 1st to remove portions of it but the surgery is very risky. There is a possibility she could come out paralyzed or worse.... She a few years younger than me and just thinking about her struggle kills me. Please pray for her strength and for the skill and precision of the doctors that will be caring for her.
On a lighter note, I love the summer. :) Ahhh, I made such a great choice by becoming a teacher, summers are awesome! Here's a few more pictures of our trip! :)
